If CDE can buy the Sunshine Mine cheap enough, there are
synergies with their current Silver Valley operations that
might make it viable, even at $5 silver.

Operations at the Sunshine Mine
-----------------------------------------------------
For the year, total silver production was 5.2 million
ounces, compared to 5.8 million ounces in 1998. The
associated cash production cost was reduced by about $0.07,
from $4.43 per ounce last year to $4.36 this year,
primarily as a result of reduced smelter and development
costs
