AMDI a shell? Yes. This was an operating company back in the mid 80's that developed various medical devices as the name implies.Unfortunately,they never seemed to be able to capitalize on any of their products. There was always some problem with suppliers or competition with deeper pockets. As a result, the company gave up on the medical device business and has since that time been looking for another company to merge with or for some other business combination. They make no secret about this situation, repeatedly saying it in their financial reports.
