John, you have got to begin somewhere and start to hold strong stocks even if its just 100-200 shares. Rebuilding a tentative short term portfolio should not be totally disregarded. There are lots of good stocks out there at bargain prices. I plan on being about 15-20% invested by the middle of May which is a lot for me. I'm just waiting to get the 'creme de la creme' and not the 'one day wonders'..
