Guess you missed the line. "The day trades and position trades profits pale in comparison to the profits I've got from holding on these." Now to explain it so there isn't any misunderstanding as to what that means - I bought shares to hold, to day trade and to position trade. The stocks I bought at low levels recently, I hope to hold for a long time.

Glad to see that you advocating buying and holding. I think that most readers of my post recognize that I'm a firm believer in buying stocks on sell offs and holding them for the long term. I've discussed that in the past.

The stocks on my list (I review it regularly) show extremely strong fundamentals based on what they have done over the past year at a minimum. While recent reports might offer strong reinforcement of prior fundamentals, normally the prices of the stocks will move up quickly after such positive releases. That's why I'll move in and buy on sell offs before earnings. It really isn't very risky. These are the same type stocks that I'll buy as earnings plays before earnings come out and will hold through earnings. They usually beat earnings rather easily.
