PC-Chip M537 75/83Mhz bus speed motherboard
The talks on both English and Chinese Usenet about a cheap and overclock friendly 586 motherboards with 83Mhz bus speed took me with great interests while browsing.
Until then, I knew that only Asus T2P4 V3.0 and later is capable to run at 83Mhz bus speed reliably; Mtech R534 has 83Mhz bus speed but few could claim that they could run at 83Mhz reliably; Shuttle Hot-557 VX chipset has 75Mhz and 83Mhz bus speed. I bought one for this reason. I could not use this board to run at 83Mhz reliably; to say the least that this board is not an overclock friendly board for 6x86-150Mhz and up.
The search for this unheard overclock friendly 83Mhz bus speed motherboard leaded to an unknown VXPro chipset manufactured by PC-Chips. This board is being distributed under several names. I could suggest you visit PC website ( pcchips.com ) to take a look on its M537. There are several dealers are selling this board on Internet. The following Ctek Technology ad is an example. I never ordered from Ctek and have no reference available for you.

I bought a PC-Chip's M537 in a local computer show last Saturday. I have used Cyrix 6x86 and Pentium to run at 75Mhz and 83Mhz bus speeds on this board and have been most satisfied with the results. These talks on usenets are true that this 83Mhz bus speed motherboard is an overclock friendly!
I have a few Asus T2P4 V3.10 running at 75Mhz and 83Mhz. At half price of T2P4, this M537 is just as capable as T2P4 with more features, such as fully supports of 6x86, K6, M2, K6 and could use one SDRAM/DIMM after the 4 72 pins slots are fully used!

If you have been wondering how great the system performance of a 75Mhz or 83Mhz bus speed, a $70 M537 is very worthy to give a try. With the support of 6x86 linear burst mode, M537 is a better motherboard than Asus HXchipset T2P4 for 6x86, M2 and K6 users.
Don't ask me too many questions towards a cheap board! Buy one and check it out yourselves. I believe that most of you will be very pleasant with your findings!
