I havn't been on SI for a while since I was so obsessed with getting my business in gear. I'm finally back though, even though I still have a lot of work to do. After roughly December 10, with no hints of panic in sight, I decided that if there was going to be panic it would have happened by then, so simply trashed my Y2K trading plan. I'm glad that very few people snapped up cash just before the New Year.

In any case, I have finally gotten back to looking at stocks. Cisco had cost over a half trillion before adjusting back a bit. Thats amazing to me but since a significant portion of the United States spending would have to go to Cisco for the stock to double again, I just don't think its possible. On the other hand, I've never seen a stock with such a smooth earning climb, let alone one so steep.

Since I finally have cash again I plan to invest in stocks. I plan to invest in ultra-high earning growth stocks who either have crashed, yet have very positive fundamentals, and ultra high prices stocks who are set for additional short term growth. I never though I would be able to find a consistent gain based on a formula, but after rejoining fortuneinvestor.com, I found their trend backtesting tool was extremely useful. I actually found a search that returned a 140% gain, with the monthly gain being smooth as butter for the last year. They only back-test for one year though, so I won't be so sure of their tool for another couple months at least. Has anyone else tried a stock-screen strategy?

I just wish that I could find another stock as good as Gulfstream. If anyone can find a company with high earnings estimates, top notch product, yet a low or average P/E, please let me know. GulfStream and Ebay used to have my approval, but GAC was sold to General Dynamics and Ebay rose too high.

I guess I'll have to make a list of great products so I can find a true winner. Better do that tomorrow though or I'll have another ulgy-sleep(the opposite of beauty-sleep) as I do all to often.

One last thing. Any thoughts on the Cuba-Kid ordeal? Is ther anyone worth voting for this November? Is global warming going to seriously effect our life in the next few decades? Is the internet soon going to be attached to every electronic device, or will there be a seperation of differnet internet entities(e.g. internet radio, internet TV, information internet)?

Even with the computer age, to me it seems its the transportation system is even more important to economic growth. It hasn't changed ever since the advent of the great American Highway system, which is getting clogged beyond belief. Will it change even in the next 100 years? I saw an article on flying cars in Popular Mechanics magazine. Right now it would be a miricle if speeds increased 10mph(no, going over the speed limit does not count). I would comment myself but I really want sleep!
