That's why your legal system, many states, stepped in and threw the hammer down on MSFT.

On the surface...

The truth of the matter in this case is, the rabid assault on free enterprise in an attempt to wield control and legally extort money from the private sector, in the name of "fairness" & "opportunity" etc. Unfortunately, the opposite is accomplished.

Almost seventy years have passed in our country, of controlling the educational system and an information network. This elapsed time has generated voters and lack thereof, to be "part" of the culprit to the current degenerative environment.

Just a thought that may be below the surface...

Who's to say the U.S. government (liberal part) isn't trying to reign in, if not destroy MSFT completely. Ever growing numbers of people have access to information today and they have the ability now to share their knowledge and exchange ideas, like no other time before.

Just perhaps, the real monopoly feels threatened by this, hence the "throwing down the hammer on MSFT" mentality is politically expedient to their grandiose purpose.

It's not just about MSFT.
