Bluetooth will succeed; I see no other alternative at this juncture. Further, all the named players are behind Bluetooth. The problem that has become apparent over the past month or so is that the technology is too costly at this time for mainstream application. The price will not get down to where it can become mainstream technology until the 2004/2005 timeframe. This is what recently was the conclusion of many analysts and participants in a recent BT conference. A lot can happen over a 5-year horizon -- with better capitalized companies taking a technology lead over XTND.
