RE: Monday's IOM kookiness -- No doubt about it, that "Hurricane Mary" stuff on IOM came out of nowhere. Really bewildering! But, I get the feeling that SI admin does not want to engage in any 'police activity' unless the crime is of the absolute severest form (such as the incident which prompted this thread). Fair enough. It's a hard job passing judgment on someone. And their primary mission is to 'encourage' discussion, not to hang posters on pins. Still -- today's incident was "all about shock and not a bit stock" in terms of content. At least 4 components of SI's rule board were pretty roughed up today ;} No animals were harmed, though. BTW, I like the "jailhouse" idea -- I just don't think SI admin wants that responsibility, even if their own rules get broken. I suppose we have to put up with democracy to enjoy it. -MrB
