The following Bre-X-legal posts were pulled off usenet newsgroups:

This investor likely recalls Nesbitt's analyst Bianchini hyping Bre-X and making such public statements as: "I know for a fact there's more gold (at Busang). I've seen it."

Here's a good way to make use of this medium...

How many out there bought Bre-X as a result of their Nesbitt Burns broker's recommendation (which he will tell you is a result of their gold analyst, (Enzio something).

Anyone starting a lawsuit naming Nesbitt first, Bre-X second?

Please email me at tpg@witty.com if you are, or want to start one.

The following item is one I posted earlier today to the main SI Bre-X thread (Bre-X, Indonesia...):

Yes the "suits" can get sued -- and may be the most likely source of financial recovery providing a solid case can be built. Looking at history, the closest Canadian parallel in recent salt jobs that went through the legal system (i.e. others like Timbuktu are just beginning that journey) -- saw the Vancouver Stock Exchange, several of its member brokerage firms and individual brokers successfully sued alongside the New Cinch principals and promoters. When the payout came the brokers coughed up substantial settlements (for the time -- today you'd have to add a few zeroes). Now those NCU brokers were guilty of underwriting the scam -- the BXM analogy would be any brokers that financed Bre-X and vouched for filings. You're going into new territory with nailing the brokerage touts who hyped the stock and were reckless or negligent in making their recommendations on their brokerage house imprimatur. But the stock brokers and money managers are the "deep pockets" to look at in any civil suit -- and the big ones can't easily run away like penny mining stock promoters can...
