Elian says he wants to go back to cuba.

I don't blame him, in fact, I would too. Imagine the options:

Option 1.

Stay in a country where the radicals, fundamentalists and paranoia ridden wackos of the Republican party have a fair chance to take control of the country...

Option 2.

Go back to a country that thanks to the paranoia and sick mind of a single individual has put such country in total chaos and bankruptcy...

Based on that not much of a choice...

However, looking forward...

Option # 2 leaves a lot of room for improvement given that the old fart of Uncle Fidel will die or get thrown out... AND many countries are eager to invest in it (except of course the US).

I think in Elian's case the choice is clear. He should run away from the radicals, and go back to Cuba.

Of course, the above consideration does not take into account the simple fact that his father is who should have custody in the first place. But that is an irrelevant consideration given the fact that the Republicans MUST have a victory over Evil Fidel, so to hell with Elian's whishes.

Oh and I forget... Stay here, and risk being shot at while attending school by some gun owning, pro-militia, KKK'er brain washed, radical, suffering of paranoia because someone is suggesting not to own a gun in the first place.

What choice !
