Ah yes, went from 30% to 100% cash you did. When I read your posts, I thought it was smart move. I sold off a lot of more speculative positions. I could not go cash simply because of taxes. I would have to pay way too much. For me, a 20% drop in prices was almost tolerable because my short term tax rate would have been 40% marginal. Did not expect a 40-50% pullback.

In the hindsight it was still better to sell off at the high and pay the darn taxes. The next time around, I am sure we will still have to struggle with the same questions. If there was no tax implication, I would have gone at least 80% cash.
