MYSTIC, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 28, 2000--William Meyer, Director of Network Operations and Engineering with Paxson Communications Corporation in West Palm Beach, Florida, has been named Chief Operating Officer of USA Video Interactive USVOE (www.usvo.com). He begins his new position in mid-May. Meyer was at Paxson for more than six years, helping build it into one of the nation's largest privately owned and operated television networks.

"We are thrilled that Bill is joining us," said Edwin Molina, President of USA Video Interactive. In his current position with Paxson Communications, Meyer developed and administered a television network operations center for the network and participated in the development of the company's Internet presence and operations. He also designed one of the first multi-channel satellite uplink centers, expanding the reach of Pax TV and related broadcasts to more than 75 percent of U.S. television viewers. Previous to this position, Meyer was Operations Manager for Paxson Communications, overseeing engineering operations at more than 70 television stations nationwide and introducing and developing the digital television initiative.

Meyer's other experience includes serving as General Manager and Chief Engineer of Polar Broadcasting of Arizona where he established and maintained the operation of two Spanish-language television station affiliates; Operations Manager and Director of Technology for BCS Cable, Inc./Animated Digital Services of Houston, Texas, where he was responsible for the operations, engineering and commercial insertions for 84 channels at 19 cable headends throughout Texas, California, Arizona and Florida; Chief Engineer of WFCT-TV66 in Tampa, Florida; Assistant Chief Engineer of TV49 and TV33 in Houston, Texas; and an Engineer with Electronics Unlimited in Houston, Texas.
