blisenko - re: "the network is the computer" That was a catchy phrase that made a lot of money for SUNW, but technically it is nonsense, and never did have anything to do with any real products SUNW produced. There is no "network" without computers, and no need for a network without computers and the information they store, process, and deliver. And computers need software... Look at where the money is being spent in the internet buildout, and tell me how much of that is "network" technology versus computer based information technology. Sorry, but the meaningless but catchy marketing phrase does not carry much weight, at least with me.
