Xing encoder used by Asia Business News??????? Anyone out there ever watched Asia Business News (ABN)? I think it is broadcast out of Hong Kong. It looks like they use MPEG1 or software MPEG2 encoding somewhere in the transmission chain. There are dropped frames, audio dropout, and even the still pictures are jittery. It's painful to watch, but the only other English channels in this hotel room are CNN and MTV. And the more I watch ABN, the more certain I am that encoding ain't that easy. And please, if anyone is connected with ABN, tell them to buy CUBE.
