I think Greenspan will stick with the 1/4 pt increases. The effects of increases generally aren't noticeable for 5 or 6 months. The greater the sizes of the increases, the greater the likely-hood of overcorrecting.

It will be interesting, in retrospect, a few years from now, to see if the economy is less sensitive to interest rate increases now than it was 10 years ago.
