700MHz+ is a recommended processing speed for all functional options. emachines doesn't currently offer it. doesn't mean they won't or that windows2000 won't run on 400MHz; less functions. their pricing relative to available options isn't as attractive as one would think:

why do you care? you obviously don't or haven't owned an emachine...

i don't see why the market has tied Dell to MSFT or, in your estimation, to emachines...

emachines would have had a more significant impact on GTW in the consumer division. GTW was up most of the day...
