If TSE truly wanted to protect the small investors they should simply dictate that stock prices can only rise on each successive trade.

For correctly identifying the single most important non-economic reason driving global stock markets, and therefore economic activity, in the last decade , it is my pleasure to nominate Jay Chen of Hongkong for the Nobel Prize for Economics for the year 2000. Mr.Chen's pioneering work makes explicit the policy prescriptions that would necessarily arise from a more widespread acknowledgement of the phenomenon known as the Greenspan Put Option.
