MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE???"VOLTAIRE'S PORCH PARTY REGISTRANTS" If you have sent in your $100. I now need to know a few things.....
1. If you are not listed to play golf on the Voltaire Porch Party......we will not be assigning you a spot for golf.....Simple as that.
2. How many and which nights do you plan to stay at the resort. FYI--I will be at the resort from Thursday until Monday....with some of the others. What nights do you plan to stay? This inquiring mind needs to know.
3. Will you be with us for dinner Saturday nite. Approx. cost $30.00 to be taken out of the $100.00....also the Sunday BBQ will be $20.00 includes drinks for all day and nite Saturday and Sunday nite hard drinks, soft drinks, medium drinks. there will also be a token amount of money taken for danish and coffee each morning....what ever the actual cost. It has been suggested that we purchase a couple of Honey Baked Hams for sandwiches to have on hand if anyone gets the munches Saturday or Sunday noon.
4. Every one on their on for Friday nite dinner unless we come up with something.
5. Transportation.....It will be necessary for everyone to rent a car....the resort is 60 miles north of Atlanta, about 15 minutes from Voltaires. When n a town like Atlanta this is no distance. Please check post #16549 for map and driving instructions.
6. I will take any suggestions you might have to make this "your" party.....
7. The intentions of this party is that it will be inclusive for everyone, no clicks, everyone is to be treated the same( don't make any difference if you are a guest and never been on SI, if your name is Voltaire or not, what you do for a living, where you are from, how much you lost in the market, how much you have made in the market, how young you are, how old you are, everyone will be treated with open arms, especially mine....I want a big fat hug from every one that enters the compound and when I get mine everyone gonna get jealousy and want theirs and that will light this candle.
8. Dress Code--We really ain't got one. But just a few suggestions....Some of the ladies have suggested resort wear...I think I could go along with that...What every you would like to wear will be just fine.....Resort wear is just a suggestion. Men--no jackets but for Saturday dinner a pair of slacks and shirt will be just fine, don't forget those shoes and socks......Anything that you are comfortable in will be just fine for the rest of the weekend....
Rooms--Hold on until May 9th and I will get back to you. i will be out of town May 11th til 19th....going on a trip to the Copper Canyon.....everything will be under control by then. ATLANTA RESIDENTS you are going to miss out if you are not staying at the resort on Friday and Saturday. Don't you realize we are going to be up all night posting eye ball to eye ball. Dr. Dave doesn't come on until 12 PM. By the way I heard from Dr. Dave today and boy was I glad. He is in Palm Beach swinging a golf club at the Breakers. Where else? Dr. Dave if you read this they have a fabulous Sunday Brunch "to die for." Try it you'll like it. My favorite.
