That is a difficult lesson indeed. When the market is running up, when we are making good money, that is when we are most susceptible. At such times the market does not reward due diligence. In the time it takes to thoroughly research a CREE or an ELON or a INTF the stock can double or triple. It takes much too long to be able to distinguish the gold from the rocks. Jumping first and asking questions later is immediately rewarded, and so bad behavior is encouraged. Until some time later when the stock tumbles and gains evaporate.

Right now it seems so clear, so easy. Yet I know I'm also still trying to learn this lesson.
