The mother was a selfish idiot for endangering her life as well as her son's. Although as a human being I feel sorry for her, the same as I do for any other human being who suffers tragedy, her actions should NOT be praised. Why is Elizabeth's desire to be with some one she loves not good? What is freedom anyway? Is it ok for government to prohibit two lovers from being with each other? Do you remember what your wife looked like mourning after you were married? Are you denouncing Elizabeth for wanting that? "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness"
