Anyone holding those stocks from split-adjusted $5 or less is laughing their ass off right now - if they were smart enough to take profits out on the way.

That's the downside of shorting....longs can make 1000's of % on the right picks while a great short will never yield more than 80-90%.

But they are both cool ways to make money.

One example - a little cable manufacturer called STKR came to my attention at $2 since they were starting to make fiber optic stuff. It took off and I sold out in the 30's and 40's. You could short it now because the valuation is steep; but you won't match the leverage I had catching it so low before.
