Short @ 170 X 1000 shares requires a deposit of 51,000 bucks ? Could you explain this? I've always worked under the assumption that shorting requires exactly the same inital cash outlay as going long. 50% typically or as high as 100% depending on the margin requirements of the broker for that stock. What am I missing? Eric
