Dear lawdog: All that proves to me is that perhaps the era of SPECULATION is over. Buying volatile stocks heavily margined is extremely risky. Attempting to TIME the market is also risky. Combine them and its stupid. But for us individual INVESTORS who select quality stocks and buy and hold probably we will end up better off without them. JDN
