Micron to Offer 8-Megabyte Imagine 128 Series 2 Video Accelerator

LEXINGTON, Mass., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Number Nine Visual Technology Corp. (Nasdaq:NINE), a world leader in
high-performance PC graphics chips and solutions, today announced that Micron (TM) Electronics, Inc., (Nasdaq:MUEI), a
leading direct channel manufacturer of high-performance PC systems, is offering the award-winning 128-bit Imagine 128
Series 2 graphics and MPEG video accelerator as standard equipment in their recently announced Powerdigm (TM) XLI, a
new line of workstations powered by dual 200-MHz Pentium(R) Pro processors. Additionally, both the 4MB VRAM and the
8MB H-VRAM models of Imagine 128 Series 2 are now available as options for most Micron computers.

``Number Nine has clearly demonstrated a competitive advantage under Windows NT, a market that is critically important to
us as a leading provider of high-performance PCs,'' said Brian Klene, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing,
Micron Electronics, Inc. ``Micron has consistently benefited in comparative system reviews using Number Nine's

helps us drive the personal computer into territories once inhabited only by workstations costing much more.''

``Micron systems configured with the Imagine 128 Series 2 are among the first in the industry to enable true workstation-class
graphics on the PC platform, further blurring the line between PCs and high-cost graphics workstations,'' said Larry McIntosh,
Vice President, OEM Sales for Number Nine Visual Technology Corp. ``As Windows NT(R) continues to gain widespread
acceptance as the operating system of choice in the corporate market, Number Nine recognizes the importance of providing
the most reliable, robust and highest-performance graphics and video acceleration for NT users.

computer industry trade magazine test centers as one of the world's most powerful Windows NT video accelerator available.
Number Nine's Imagine 128 Series 2 continues to dominate comparative Windows NT system reviews, and Micron systems
configured with the Imagine 128 Series 2 have consistently stood out as leading performers. Since Micron began offering
Number Nine's Imagine 128 Series 2, Micron systems have earned top honors in numerous industry tests and reviews,
including both the ``Midrange Editors' Choice'' and ``High-End Editors' Choice'' Awards from PC Magazine last year as well
as PC Computing's MVP and BEST Awards. As applications and operating systems continue to place an ever-increasing
demand on the graphics subsystem, more and more PC users are realizing they simply cannot sacrifice graphics performance.

8MB H-VRAM Model of Imagine 128 Series 2 now available as Micron Option

workstations, Number Nine introduced the 8-megabyte H-VRAM Imagine 128 Series 2 to meet the rapidly increasing
demands of PC-based professional graphics users. Micron is one of the first computer manufacturers to offer this class of
graphics and video power as a graphics upgrade on most of its computers. The Imagine 128 Series 2 8MB H-VRAM will
support true color (32-bit, 16.8 million viewable colors) resolutions at up to 1920 x 1080, increases available OpenGL 3D
supported resolutions and offers faster 2D and video performance over that available with the 4MB Imagine 128 Series 2.
