As far as I remember from the document the browser COM objects go to the Apps company, but the Windows company may use it without paying licenses. If the Apps company thinks a little, it will find out that it can offer a Linux/Office combination 30% cheaper than an Win2K/Office combination. I think 30% is worth running for, and I think stockholders in an MSFT Apps company think that, too. Apple goes into the *nix world with OS X - there are lots of server systems in that market... Apple is not competitive in its current technological state, but OS X could really change that if MSFT is split.
