Steve Harmon recommends NETP again. Harmon put NETP on his top ten for 2000 list in January. It caused a pop in the stock price. On Friday, after hours, about 7 p.m., he reviewed the list in an e-mail to about 10K subscribers.
This is what he said about NETP:
"One company certainly with what I continue to think has great promise is Net Perceptions (NETP), the personalization software and service. April 26 Net Perceptions announced it commands the largest user base of any personalized marketing solution on the Web. It added SBC Communications, J.P. Morgan, Walgreens, SONY and J.C. Penney to its roster of customers, bringing the total to 191 clients.
Net Perception's numbers are coming in strong. NETP first quarter results beat estimates. It posted $9.5 million revenue for the first quarter ended March 31, 2000, up 401% over the $1.9 million reported in the same period in 1999 and up 51% from the $6.3 million reported in the fourth quarter of 1999. Those are the kind of results I like to see and to me reinforce the belief that NETP represents value in its technology, marketshare, management and position.
Net Perceptions has 17 pending patents in the field of Web personalization which I continue to watch to evaluate their worth over time. NETP is one of the few stocks that has an edge in many core areas: tech, management, market share." |
