1. People have money to invest 2. Inevitable further interest rate increases will lessen the attractiveness of Old Economy stocks 3. No matter what business you are in, everyone sees continued escalation of spending on technology 4. People have been rightfully scared off (for now) from ridiculous investing in e-this and e-that 5. Despite their valuations and volatility, the pmcs's of the world ( and the brcm's, and jdsu's, etc.) represent the most desireable and rational choices. Ken
