Interesting. What does flying too close to the sun gets you? Burned out. Like I said last night. This new more volatile market requires a new way of thinking by investor / traders. It sounds like these guys were applying old indicators and old techniques to a new game. You can't do that and still come out on top. As the game changes, your indicators and techniques must change. That is why we are like chameleons here. We change strategies with the markets. . . and we are always on the watch for indicators or other clues that tend to work better than what everyone else is watching. Ever wonder why my eyes never leave the most volatile stocks board? Know anyone else that watches that board all day? I have a half dozen short-term boards running to give me a better look at what is happening on the short-term. .. before others see it. And that edge just happens to be working in this volatile market. . . or at least it has over the past few months. Make no mistake. Volatility is very hard to read. Not even George Soros can read it.
