Len, thanks for an excellant piece. Wireless today stands where the ibm pc stood some years ago. The permutations from here will be many and diverse. Why does europe have a wireless lead? Because many of the wire based systems were so lousy that any alternative was welcome. That is why so much wireless has been implemented. The same is true for any backward country that has no wired infrastructure to begin with.
