edwin, everything u have said makes perfect sense...the MM's are manipulating this system to their advantage, way beyond what is necessary...i will only sell a portion of my softbank shares when we receive the split shares and when i have held the stock for 1 yr...to pay 20% capital gains is well worth the wait...and why sell now when we are just starting the bull rally?...i think May will be very favorable...when u take a step back and look at the big picture, what i see is that nasdaq just corrected 37% from the high, way more than anyone expected...and why did this happen?...not because the economy is not strong, but rather that the tech sector got abit ahead of itself...as my posts from jan/feb have noted, i felt a "big" shakeout was going to happen(granted, my estimates were a month or so too early), but i certainly didnt appreciate the magnitude in which it was going to happen either...earnings have been great and the tech revolution still being cultivated...i see continued tech growth til the fiber optic highways(ie-internet backbone) is completed...when CIEN and JDSU stop growing, this will the day when this great expansion finally slows down...there is a slight hint of inflation now, but its still quite neglible when compared to the 70's and early 80's...imo the time to sell a small portion of SFTBF is when the summer rally in full force(if u have held for 1 yr also)...3 yrs from now, those who sell out all of their shares now will kick themselves imo...back to ur original point<ggg>, when nasdaq japan finally opens this summer and when 9984 lists there, global trading will be much more standardized and ubiquitus, hence the ludicrous spreads will be a thing of the past.
