I don't see how the specter of Microsoft Office for Linux helps Corel on the office bloatware front or how Microsoft Linux is going to benefit Corel's "version" of Linux. How do Microsoft's Java tools help Borland when they port them to Linux? The beta version of Corel Office stands in stark contrast to lightweight but full-featured offerings from a wide variety of sources. Star Office is a somewhat bloated, but it's backed by Sun Microsystems and it's free. Failure to execute under Windows is goin to translate to failure to execute under Linux. There are more and better companies out there developing solutions for Linux every day. This changes nothing for Corel and it's years away.
