Mike, Whether my experience was "near death" or not, depends on how close you are talking about. I was not on any table, or in any ER, but you can bet your bottom dollar, I would have been there soon. By the time I had gotten to the condition I was in, I had been drinking over a quart of hard booze a day for over 40 years, had wrecked 12 cars, and should have been dead, at least, 15 times that I can count. Thank God that I inflicted only minor, physical, injuries on other in these episodes. What I did, psychologically to people very close to me, is most difficult to relate and, causes me great shame. The rest of the story begins in my early twenties, has a huge gap of 35 years while I was on the dark side of the moon, and resumes in 1996 in, from what I have been told, is a most unusual happening. That event, in itself, has no super-natural connotations to it, but how it came to be, IMO, definitely did not come from the natural world.

I have, recently, become acquainted with people who have never been drunk, hallucinated, or have any reason to fabricate a story, that have seen both demons, and Angels, at work. I almost joined the demons in their base of operations and, having seen it, do not wish to ever come close to it again.

Thank you for your comments, and beliefs. They were refreshing and quite welcome.
