Michael, Is it naivity, or is it complacency? There has been an attitude growing in this country that "it ain't none of my business!" This attitude allows young women to be beaten, and raped in places like NYC, while a crowd looks on and, no one lifts a finger to help. They see a murdered body in the streets, and merely shrug their shoulders. As long as the situation doesn't interfere with the filling of their purses, or inconveniences their comfort, they just don't give a flip. America is not a two-bit country, but at the present time, we have two-bit leadership. Many citizens are like sheep being led to the slaughter by the "Judas" goat, but they will not look that far into the future. And it's not really that far.
Communism has not been, economically, successful in any country that has ever tried it. This fact can easily be seen in accurate historical documents but, most do not look, or care. As I heard it, Communism and Socialism, were supposed to be "all for one, one for all." Then, how come it takes a dictator, and overpowering secret police force, to run any nation espousing these two political options? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out but, may be better understood by a 6 year old child than any PHD. From what Communist country have citizens NOT tried to flee? How many people died trying to go over the Berlin wall? How many people have died in the Gulf of Mexico trying to escape Castro? How many South Vietnamese died fleeing the Ho Chi Min murderers? I could go on, and on, but what's the use. Not enough people listen.
Members of the Clinton/Gore administration broke the law! What else is new? Nobody seems to care. Sad but true.
