Dustin...certainly opinions differ on this. Some people believe MSFT has plenty of competition coming down the pipeline from SUNW, Linux, Palm, etc., and that MSFT has always been behind the curve and therefore vulnerable in harnessing Internet technology. Other people believe that if the DOJ can force a $400 billion company to break in two (and come up with a response to this order within two weeks), the government can do just about anything. We should be careful what we wish for. A little freedom lost here and there, and pretty soon the government will be poking its nose into things we might regret. Personally, for example, I hope we never see the day when the Labor Department follows thru on the idea it came up with to regulate safety and health conditions in the homes of telecommuters. (pretty sure my home office set-up wouldn't pass regulatory muster..<ggg>)
