Forget slumbering peacefully, you can get easily blown away by a local cop walking down a street, during a routine traffic stop, etc. Happens every day of the week. It began happening more and more after the conservative Rehnquist Court started whittling away at liberal Warren (and even Burger) Court rulings expanding search and seizure protections, and the so-called "exclusionary rule."
