If it is idiotic and hypocritical to not only care about myself, then I'll have to plead guilty. In my view, all races are equal in God's eyes, and shootings of unarmed civilians disturb me.

Actually, under your own logic, I should be complaining very loudly about these incidents. "First, they shot my black neighbor, and I said nothing; then they shot my Puerto Rican neighbor, and I said nothing; then, they shot me....and there was no one left to say anything."
