Dear Dennis: I dont believe you are old enough to remember the Ma Bell breakup. I am, (though not the Standard Oil Trust. haha) all the arguements you are hearing today Bell used too. Didnt work. IMHO either this breakup will occur OR something worse will be in the cards for MSFT in the area of Govt supervision. Personally, I think I would prefer the former, but like you, I own no MSFT stock so can be objective about all of this. JDN
