- Stealing, murder, & arson can also exist in a capitalist & democratic society, but so what? They're all bad; just socialists are all bad. - Socialism is nothing more than enriching the Political Elites. They promise to share the wealth. Instead, we get stuck paying for their largesse. - Look at NYC. Prior to the 1940's, a huge subway system was built all with private funds. With no tax subsidy whatsoever. Since then, NYC & Feds have imposed massive taxes. NYC took over the financially strapped subways. And never was another inch of tunnel ever built. - My point is that Gov't is good at raising taxes & making promises. But Capitalists are good at providing goods & services that people actually want. Which do you prefer?
