Just buy when everything is getting whacked real good. Will it be the bottom? Who knows...but you are safest taking positions on large downticks, IF you believe in what you are buying and believe the downtick is a market related problem and not a company specific related problem. What happens to quality companies after the have been whacked real good ? They go up.
