...it was MSFT all along who became a legitimate monopoly... A bit of history. Gates provided the OS for the IBM PC. The contract he negotiated with IBM allowed him to provide the same OS to other manufacturers; thus, the personal computer (clone) industry was born, freeing consumers from dealing with IBM exclusively; hence, Gates is a monopoly destroyer.
