OFF TOPIC russet, Your potatoeness, It looks like the final demise of the old V.S.E. now with the moving of the head office of the CDNX to Cow Town. So now we see the true colors.... LOL & rotflmao....here are 10 reasons why... 1. Money...the dollar value of small deals done on paper napkins at lunchtime in Calgary exceeds the annual IPO and private placement capital raised in Vancouver. 2. The mining expertise in Canada resides in Alberta. The largest mines in Canada and some of the largest operating mines in the world are located there. 3. Most of the successful high tech startups in Western Canada are Alberta based. Interestingly, these starts are created and built by people with real expertise in the field, not paper hangers from Howe Street. 4. The oil and gas industry is based in Calgary. 5. The political and regulatory environment is stable in Alberta whereas B.C. has a history of socialist and communist provincial governments. 6. Albertans actually have disposable income for investment. 7. Taxes and other operating/overhead costs are lower. 8.
