Jill, FWIW, I received this e-mail from the Director of IR at TV Guide on April 26 re: GMST merger:

"The merger, as announced last October, is still scheduled to close by the end of June. It may happen earlier (May) but that is impossible to predict
with any certainty due to the open ended nature of the DOJ review. I hope this helps. "

Gary had answered a few of my e-mails within a couple hours.
I have a phone call into Gemstar IR for the earnings date since last Wednesday morning without a reply.
I found on Clearstation, that the earnings for GMST will be on May 11th, OPTV issued its earnings report last Thursday and Gemstar benefited, IMHO for some of their stock increase because of similar sector.

It should be an interesting next few months for Gemstar, I checked Thomson during last Thursday and Friday and there were very strong buy signals and 80% of the trade activity from institutions, again FWIW
