Platinum is up over $25... Man, oh, man, you don't want to get into platinum, considering that the world's supply is pretty much controlled by a handful of Russian mining companies. All it takes is for one of them to say that they're going to start or stop production and suddenly that market can crash or soar. The rise is pretty much due to short covering after, you guessed it, a Russian mining consortium (Norlisk), announced last week that they were going to resume exports. The market dropped and now it's bounced enough to cause some fear in the shorts.
