AMD's opportunity with Athlon is fleeting - in the sense that barring major breakdown at Intel it will be a *very* long a time before AMD has the kind of advantage it does today. And, without compelling product advantage it is much tougher to gain market share

I don't diagree with you that this is an opportunity of which AMD needs to take full advantage. But how do you know that AMD is not ramping up as fast as they can?

You made a qualitative judgment...is it based on information to which you are privy, or is a gut reaction based on your experience?
