Au contraire, Jurgis...

This severance package smells very fishy indeed. This blurb below appeared on netcognizance.com...summary of WSJ Interactive headlines.

Jill Barad received an exit package from MAT valued at close to $50 million in current dollars. Now her tenure is the target of more than a dozen shareholder suits alleging mismanagement including a separate suit protesting her severance package.

The article is also in today's WSJ on page B27. The article says "Ms. Barad will receive far more than her most recent employment contract called for." I will be watching news of this new shareholder suit over her severance package with great interest.

The article also mentions Joseph Gandolpho, president of world wide mfg ops and BOD member left the company and the board last month. Additionally, Pleasant Rowland has also resigned from the board, remaining in charge of The Pleasant Company.
