She confirms what you said about manufacturing at ATMI's facility in Danbury (contract extends to August 2001). UTCI will invest $20-25M in Sterling over the next three years. Targets for Sterling's substrates and epi wafers are primarily high power, high frequency and high temperatue applications, so that business will be complementary to Uniroyal Optoelectronics (UOE). In the conference call, Bob Soran of UTCI said that UOE's blue spectrum HB-LEDs will continue to be made from GaN on sapphire. WT
