Yes, important to talk to cubanos ... equally important is to listen to them.

And while few are capable of listening, i think their numbers increase with time.


Indeed, I am now thinking that this saga will produce something positive which it will be the awareness by an incrementally larger number within the US population of:

1. The importance of the Hispanic population and all that implies in terms of both, domestic policy and the US relationship with the rest of Latin America, not only on immigration issues, but economic and political as well.

2. In the particular case of the Cuban embargo, I will not be surprised if this issue is completely reviewed, [probably eliminated], regardless of Castro remaining in power or not.
