Dear Jozef:

You had better check those prices. Word Perfect was about $90, Lotus was about $150 if you got if right after it came with a new version, and dBase costed about $50 to $125 depending on what you wanted. You could get packages that had all three, generally for $250, and sometimes they were given "Free" with a new computer. This was at the same time as Office costing $600 plus. The $299 was for an upgrade. For the same, $100 to $150 for upgrades to all three. MOst of the cost was for manuals and media. Sometimes it took 30 to 50 floppies for some suites, and two or three loose leaf manuals (better than book bound in my opinion).

Pete
