OT RE: Food prices The EEC will never rely on overseas food production. The common memory of WW2, where people had to plant food in parks and gardens and a lot of people where starving will not go away that easy. I agree, it's mainly a psychological issue, but it is there. I'm not a big fan of subsiding the farmers. It looks rather stupid to me to have very low food commodity prices and then subsidise the farmers. If food prices were higher, the farmers should have a decent income and we should not pay for it through taxes. Bert
